A downloadable project

April 11, 2026 : Map update 1.1.0 for Minecraft 26.1.2

ANACHRONOX - HOPELIGHT CITY - CYBERPUNK MAP
is constantly evolving, reflecting my current inspirations. I'm trying to create a coherent and highly detailed universe, incorporating nods to classic science fiction, cyberpunk, genre films, and more. It's primarily an adventure-oriented map, but in practice, you won't be guided: it's up to you to explore and discover the secrets of Hopelight City as you wander its streets, its slums and sewers, following clues from a book or note you find, or noticing a detail that catches your eye.

The map is therefore very detailed, including the interiors, but I'm working on the project alone, so some areas will be more elaborate than others. Nevertheless, I always strive to release a polished version of the map.

It is, of course, strongly recommended to use the resource pack, otherwise, the map's universe will be completely distorted, even incomprehensible. I also recommend setting the day/night cycle stuck at midnight. It's even better when the weather is rainy, making you feel like Rick Deckard in his darkest days...

Other locations outside the city are worth exploring, but for those who want to go directly to Hopelight City, here's how :

Once you spawn at the crash site, head to the nearby Wakefield Minecart Station A, then:

- Head to Watt Transfer Station.
- Head to Snail Relay Station.
- Head to Fraggle Rock Station.
- Head to Biff Tannen Tower.
- Exit Biff Tannen Tower and walk to the nearby Hogg Station.
- From Hogg Station, take a minecart to Hopelight City.

The map's universe draws inspiration from cyberpunk, tech noir, post-apocalyptic, neo-noir, etc. This obviously includes themes such as corruption, religion, politics, vice, sex, etc. For these reasons, some areas of the map are intended for a mature audience.

Recommended configuration :
The city center is quite resource-intensive and can sometimes cause slowdowns (many entities for decoration). Therefore, in the city center, I recommend a render distance of 22 chunks (this is sufficient because the view isn't far into the city) with an entity distance of 75%. Also, set the focal length to normal and the graphics to fancy. I use these settings with my machine, which has the following specifications :

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
- CPU : i5-12600KF
- RAM : 128GB DDR4
- Display 2560x1440

Install instructions

Simply unzip the map into your Minecraft saves directory and unzip the resource pack into the resourcepacks directory then activate it in the game. The map doesn't require any mods and works perfectly directly on the vanilla version of Minecraft.
